The animal rights group spoke out in the statement to the "Daily Star," standing by its longtime protest of using animals as actors.

The premise of the video is that Katy in the sole survivor of a plane crash on a tropical island who befriends a monkey, an elephant, a crocodile and a tiger.

PETA says that animals used for entertainment purposes "endure horrific cruelty" because of the "extreme confinement" and "violent training methods."  The group even said it believed Katy worked with a company called the Serengeti Ranch to supply the animals for the video.  It noted that the company is under close watch by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, who has inspected it 22 times since 2001.
