I was at the 2011 Alaska State Fair for Wellness Day with Walgreens.
Before the Magic 98.9 live broadcast, I got to ham it up in the Ice Road Truckers Mural. Walgreens was taking photos of people in the Carlisle semi so they'd have souvenirs.
I'd never be a good Ice Road Trucker. I'd fall asleep at the wheel.
OH NO! MOOSE!!
Whew! That was close. Luckily though, Walgreens brought a mountain of FREE pocket first aid kits.
Walgreens also brought free cups, squeeze bottles, and suntan lotion, and totebags to carry them. Plus, inexpensive flu shots were available. How convenient--a poke in the arm and porkchop-on-a-stick, all in one place.
Even after loading up with Wellness gear, there was still room in the tote for other Fair goodies.
And for the Walking With Walgreens program, FREE PEDOMETERS with log books were being given out. I walked about 1 mile during the remote, just to talk to people.
Don't worry. Walgreens brought enough for the whole class. Walking is good excercise.
Naturally, comic book fans find each other. A fellow Green Lantern fan stopped by.
And I wish I had a Spider-Man shirt like this little guy's.
Cute hat, kid.
Let's hear it for the Walgreens crew! Remember them next year, and don't miss Walgreen's Wellness Day at the State Fair.
